CONCESSION RIGHTS FOR JONES PARK AND/OR ROUND HILL BEACH AND/OR DARTMOUTH REGIONAL PARK & TRAILS FOR A PERIOD OF THREE YEARS (2024, 2025 AND 2026 BEACH/PARK SEASONS).

Sealed, written bids will be received at the office of Parks & Recreation, Town Hall, 400 Slocum Road, Dartmouth, MA 02747 until 2:00 P.M. local time, Tuesday, April 2, 2024, at which time and place bids will be publicly opened and read aloud for the following:

CONCESSION RIGHTS FOR JONES PARK AND/OR ROUND HILL BEACH AND/OR DARTMOUTH REGIONAL PARK & TRAILS FOR A PERIOD OF THREE YEARS (2024, 2025 AND 2026 BEACH/PARK SEASONS).

NOTICE OF HEARING

Notice is hereby given that application has been made on behalf of the Town of Dartmouth for the approval of the Department of Environmental Protection for the Town of Dartmouth to acquire certain lands or rights to land in Dartmouth for public water supply protection purposes, said land in question being identified as Dartmouth Assessor’s Map 39, Lots 19, 22, 23, 24, 28, 33, 35, 36 and 37; Map 43, Lots 1B and 1-8 being vacant land located on the west side of Tucker Road, Dartmouth.

In response to said application, the Department of Environmental Protection acting under the provisions of Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 40, Section 39B and Section 41, as amended and each and every other act thereto enabling, will hold a hearing in Room 2117 at the Department of Environmental Protection, 20 Riverside Drive, Lakeville, MA 02347 on March 21, 2024. The hearing will begin at 10:00 a.m.

The plan showing the land in question is on file at the Department of Environmental Protection at the above address, and in the office of the Dartmouth Town Clerk in Town Hall at 400 Slocum Road, Dartmouth, MA 02747. Said plan is entitled “Paskamansett River Drinking Water Land Protection Project – Abutters Map” and dated March 4, 2024.

Comments pertaining to this matter may be made orally at the time of the hearing or submitted in writing to the MassDEP/SERO address at any time before 3:00 p.m. on March 28, 2024.
