Athletes, coaches, team to be inducted into High School Athletics Hall of Fame

The Wareham High School Athletics Hall of Fame will induct a new class of athletes of coaches at a ceremony on Nov. 28.

Four athletes will be inducted: Henry Govoni, class of 1956; Wayne Sylvester, class of 1981; Erin Lydon King, class of 1996; and Darien Fernandez, class of 2013. Two hockey coaches, Bill Titcomb and Peter Balzarini, and the 1976 women’s tennis team will also be honored at the event.

The induction ceremony will be held at the Rosebrook Event Center at TownePlace Suites, 50 Rosebrook Place. There will be a cocktail hour at the beginning of the ceremony, starting at 5 p.m. Hors d’oeuvres will be served from 6 to 7 p.m. The induction ceremony itself will start at 7 p.m.

Tickets cost $50. They can be purchased at Wareham High School.
