Barbara M. (Lynch) O’Connor, 85
WAREHAM – Barbara M. (Lynch) O’Connor, 85, of Wareham, formerly of Rockland, passed away on July 27, 2026, at South Shore Hospital, Weymouth. She was the wife of the late Patrick F. O’Connor and the daughter of the late Herbert T. and Helen (Graves) Lynch.
She was born in Boston and lived in Rockland for 55 years and then moved to Wareham 3 years ago.
Mrs. O’Connor enjoyed reading and playing Solitaire. Most of all, her favorite pastime was being a fun and loving Nana to her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Survivors include her children, Theresa Jackson of Pembroke, Thomas O’Connor of Wareham and Michael O’Connor of Arlington, VA; sister Kathy Caruso and her husband Joseph of Westwood; her grandchildren Heather, Adam and his wife Heather Tello, Derrick, Patrick and Colin; her great grandchildren, Julianna, Madison, Harper, D.J., Ray, and Gavin; and her best friend Mary. She was predeceased by her son, Patrick O’Connor, her grandson, Mark Gallagher, her sister, Judith Gibson, and son-in-law Thomas Jackson.
Visiting hours are from 3:00 to 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, at Chapman Funerals & Cremations – WAREHAM, 2599 Cranberry Hwy., Wareham. A funeral service will be held at 5:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
