A “Fitness Social for a Cause” is scheduled for Saturday, May 16, 2026, at the Gleason Family YMCA, 33 Charge Pond Road, as part of Healthy Kids Day.
Healthy Kids Day invites the community to come participate in the fitness social but also we will have the inflatable obstacle course for kiddos, we have our water safety table which offers information to our community about the safety protocols around water. May is water safety month, Wareham Free Library will be on-site and able tor register those interested for library cards, Wareham Land Trust will be onsite with an information table.
Camp Nep-in-Nae, the YMCA's camp, will have an information table and Walt’s Mobile Closet will be on-site doing their essential purse event.
A variety of group exercise classes will be offered throughout the day, including core stability, yoga, tai chi, ageless health, cycle, body pump and more. Per-class rates are $10 for members and $15 for program participants.
A pickleball tournament will be held from 9 to 11:30 a.m., and a cornhole tournament is set for 10 a.m. to noon. Tournament entry fees are $25 for members and $30 for program participants.
Healthy Kids Day activities are free and open to the public. Registration is required for fitness classes and tournaments.
