Swifts Beach community members celebrated the owner of Warren’s Harborview restaurant, Danny Warren, during a coffee hour on Saturday, Aug. 29 for his help in resolving an infrastructure issue in the neighborhood.

After a sewer pipe on Wankinquoah Avenue collapsed in 2016, Warren developed a technique to build a new sewer pipe inside of the old one. The upgraded sewer became operational in 2024.

Warren’s solution replaced a proposal from the town to install an electronic low-pressure sewer system, which would have cost residents a significant amount of money.

Community members and local political leaders including state Sen. Kelly Dooner, state Rep. John Gaskey and Sewer Commissioner Bob Scanlon attended the event to celebrate Warren.
